The Log Porto Hotel – The Art of Staying Connected

In a city where centuries-old façades coexist effortlessly with contemporary creativity, The Log Porto Hotel emerges as a reflection of modern Porto – dynamic, sophisticated and constantly evolving. Part of the Piamonte Hotels collection, this contemporary urban retreat offers a different perspective on the city: one that balances comfort and efficiency with culture and meaningful local connections.

Ideally located for both business and leisure travelers, The Log Porto Hotel embodies the concept of the modern city hotel. Its sleek architecture and thoughtfully designed wood spaces cater to those seeking a seamless stay, whether traveling for meetings, conferences or a long weekend discovering one of Europe’s most captivating destinations. Our large suite was perfect for a family getaway – spacious and comfortable – so we were very much looking forward to it.

The art of Olga Noronha

Beyond the hotel’s contemporary aesthetic, lies a deeper commitment to showcasing Porto’s creative spirit. During our stay, this philosophy revealed itself through a unique experience that took us beyond the hotel walls and into the world of one of Portugal’s most fascinating contemporary artists.

Just a few minutes from the hotel, we visited the studio of visual artist and researcher Olga Noronha www.olganoronha.com whose ongoing collaboration with The Log Porto Hotel offers guests an exclusive opportunity to engage with Porto’s vibrant cultural scene. The artist’s atelier can be visited by hotel guests, transforming a traditional city break into a journey of artistic discovery.

Stepping inside Olga Noronha’s creative universe feels like entering a space with a groundbreaking approach to jewellery and sculpture, a world of art, science and design that exists in constant dialogue. Born in Porto, Noronha has built an internationally recognized career that transcends conventional artistic disciplines, working between Portugal, London and Italy. Her work explores the intersection between the human body, engineering and contemporary art, creating sculptural pieces that challenge perceptions of form, function and identity.

Walking through her atelier offered a rare glimpse into the creative process itself. Experimental materials, sculptural forms and prototypes coexist in an environment that feels both laboratory and artist’s studio. It is the kind of cultural encounter that cannot be replicated in a museum setting, it’s intimate, personal and deeply inspiring.

The Lobby Bar / Nó & Veio Restaurant

Back at The Log Porto Hotel, the Lobby Bar provides a more relaxed setting for informal meetings, evening conversations or a quiet moment after a day spent exploring the city. Whether enjoying a signature cocktail, a Portuguese wine or simply watching the rhythm of urban life unfold, it is a space that effortlessly adapts to the needs of modern travellers.

The hotel’s gastronomic experience is centred around Nó & Veio Restaurant, designed to celebrate Portuguese regional food with local ingredients and traditional recipes. The result is a culinary experience that feels familiar, rooted in heritage. Each dish tells a story of the region, showcasing seasonal products, a dining experience that reflects Porto itself.

What makes The Log Porto Hotel particularly compelling is its ability to bridge worlds. It functions seamlessly as a business hotel, offering the convenience, comfort and connectivity expected by today’s professionals. At the same time, it invites guests to engage with Porto on a deeper level through its creative energy.

In a city celebrated for its heritage, The Log Porto Hotel reminds us that Porto’s story is still being written. And sometimes, the most memorable journeys are not only about discovering a destination, but about connecting with the people, ideas and creativity that shape its future.
