The list of the 50 best hotels in 2026 has now been revealed. More than 800 anonymous members of the Academy voted to determine the results, ranging from hospitality experts to travel journalists.
For the first time, the ceremony did not take place in London. Paris was chosen as the host city for the awards, which, for the second consecutive year, named Rosewood Hong Kong the world’s number one hotel, also recognised as the best hotel in Asia.
Europe takes centre stage, with 21 entries, most of them in France and Italy, although all six continents are represented. 50 Best also publishes other rankings, including the 50 best vineyards, the 50 best bars and the 50 best restaurants.
