José Carlos holds a degree in Management and a Master’s in International Management. For over 30 years, he led technology companies in several countries, always with a strong commitment to innovation and to motivating multicultural teams. After a long career in the technology and consulting sectors, he decided to embrace a new challenge: becoming an entrepreneur in hospitality, creating and managing two benchmark projects in the Algarve — Conversas de Alpendre and Colégio Charm House. Today, he brings the same strategic vision to hospitality, standing out for his client-focused approach and his constant pursuit of authentic and memorable experiences.
PROFESSIONAL INSPIRATION
It comes from the desire to always do better and to turn ideas into solid realities. Throughout my journey, I have learned that innovation, dedication, and resilience are forces that inspire me every day. I am also inspired by teamwork and by the ability to motivate people — nothing is built alone, and I truly believe that it is in human relationships that the real strength of any project lies.
THE THREE PILLARS OF LIFE
Family is my foundation, the strength that gives balance and meaning to everything I do. Honesty is the value I strive to uphold in all my relationships, whether personal or professional. And a passion for learning is always present, because I believe that only through curiosity and the will to evolve can we remain alive and attentive to the world.
SECOND PROFESSIONAL CHOICE
In truth, that is exactly what happened. I spent much of my career in technology and consulting, led companies in several countries, and only later embraced hospitality — a field that had never been mine, yet one that now completes me. Here, I discovered the importance of keeping the focus on the client, because it is through the experience of those who visit us that all the work truly makes sense.

THREE PEOPLE WHO MADE MY CAREER
My father, for his visionary mindset and his courage to innovate, even in challenging contexts — I grew up admiring the way he worked and his boldness in thinking differently, and I try to carry that with me every day. Cristina, my life and business partner, whose dedication and serenity make everything more solid. Marta, who, with her energy and creativity, challenges me to look at things in a new and inspiring way. And without forgetting Tiago, my friend and partner in hospitality, with whom I took my first steps in this field that today also defines me.
MAIN HOBBY
Reading, especially comic strips — a long-standing passion that I have never abandoned and that accompanies me through every phase of life.
TODAY I WOULD GO TO
Without hesitation, to Japan. A country I admire for its culture, discipline, and the way it harmoniously blends tradition with modernity.
