In the vibrant setting of São Paulo, one of the most dynamic metropolises in the world, few hotels manage to transform themselves into true urban symbols. Conceived by the entrepreneur Jonas Siaulys, the project was born from the ambition to offer the city something more than a luxury hotel. The vision was to create a space capable of reflecting the cosmopolitan spirit of São Paulo, with a distinctive identity, highly personalized service, and a strong connection to art and architecture. To bring this idea to life, a true “dream team” of Brazilian talents was assembled. The architectural project was entrusted to the master Ruy Ohtake, who designed a building with bold and unmistakable lines. The inverted-arch structure, clad in aged copper and punctuated by circular windows, has become one of the city’s most iconic images. For Ohtake, the hotel is “an international reference and a true urban work of art”.
Inside, the sophisticated design by João Armentano translates a contemporary aesthetic that combines avant-garde pieces with a warm and elegant atmosphere. The innovative landscaping by Gilberto Elkis introduced the concept of “aerial landscaping”, with suspended plants that interact with the architecture and enhance the sense of lightness and fluidity throughout the space. With only 86 rooms and 18 suites, Hotel Unique prioritizes exclusivity and comfort. The rooms, overlooking the greenery of Ibirapuera Park or the sophisticated Jardins district, were designed to provide an intimate experience where design and functionality meet in perfect harmony.
At the top of the building lies one of the city’s most iconic venues: Skye Restaurant & Bar. Under the gastronomic direction of French chef Emmanuel Bassoleil, the restaurant combines international flavors with Brazilian ingredients in a cosmopolitan setting that has become one of the main meeting points of São Paulo’s social life. From the rooftop, guests and visitors enjoy one of the most fascinating views over São Paulo, with the urban skyline stretching all the way to Avenida Paulista.
Beyond its gastronomic experience and singular design, the hotel also stands out for the versatility of its spaces.
