Àcosta Algarve – Seaside Cuisine Of Memories

We visited the very special ÀCosta Restaurant in the Algarve, located at the Domes Lake Algarve – Autograph Collection Hotel, on Praia da Falésia. Inspired by the flavors of the sea, ÀCosta brings to the table the best of Portuguese gastronomic tradition combined with the signature touches of chefpreneur Olivier da Costa, shaped by diverse influences from around the world.

The location is unique, always with water as a backdrop, and the concept blends national soul with a vanguard spirit, designed for moments of sharing at the table. The cuisine is an ode to the founder’s memories, his roots, and family experiences, paired with an eclectic bar menu where signature cocktails tell stories of Portuguese culture.

Right on the beach, and in the Algarve, the concept had to make the sea and fish the backbone of the menu — and that’s exactly what we explored. From the fantastic clams to the grilled turbot, it was a gastronomic adventure filled with Portuguese identity and seasonality, always with Olivier’s special touch and spectacular presentation.

An unmissable journey? Absolutely. Starting with fresh oysters with mignonette sauce and lemon or the traditional amêijoas à Bulhão Pato, continuing with the incredible lobster rice, grilled fish with a surprising selection of sides — where the rich rice and fresh green salad stood out — and finishing with an endless tribute to the Algarve: the famous orange roll.
