When we arrived at the resort, we immediately noticed the opulence and size with a fantastic hall that immediately transports us to Thailand. I’m fascinated by the Thai architectural style, with pointed roofs, wooden interiors and decoration reminiscent of Southeast Asia, in a peaceful environment, ideal for those looking for relaxation away from the city. The resort is ideal for both families, with activities and facilities for children, and couples looking for a romantic getaway. Outside, we are treated to an exclusive 400 meters of private coastline and expansive views of the Arabian Gulf as well as the Dubai skyline.
Over Water Villas
We are directed to our Over Water Villa, a spectacular large suite right on the beach measuring over 100 square meters, king size bed, private terrace with sea views, jacuzzi-style bathtub, rain shower and a glass panel in the floor that allows you to see the sea. Comfort and an infinite blue, where the sky and the sea have no borders. From our villa, we soon put our feet in the sand and enjoyed an exclusive beach getaway.
Gastronomy
Anantara Dubai offers a wide range of cuisine – from Asian fusion to Mediterranean, there is a whole world of flavors to explore at the resort’s restaurants. Highlight is ‘Mekong’, an exclusive restaurant on a journey through Asian cuisine with Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese influences, by Chef Namthip Prueksasaruay. The atmosphere is fascinating and the staff is highly welcoming, providing a great experience. For a relaxed family meal, ‘The Beach House’ is the ideal choice for alfresco dining with sea views. Delicious snacks and vibrant cocktails in a casual setting with magnificent sunset views. At ‘Crescendo’, we are treated to a magnificent breakfast and lunches with an international buffet offering overlooking the pool and the sea. But it is also possible to organize a private romantic dinner on the beach or in the villas.
Spa and Leisure
At Anantara Dubai we can enjoy moments of pure leisure and relaxation or venture out with some of the many activities available. The Palm area has easy access to the city’s iconic attractions such as the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall or Atlantis, The Palm. But also swimming lagoons, a gym, sunrise yoga classes, water sports and a spa with a wide range of treatments – from ancient to modern, Asian to Arabic, relaxing to therapeutic. We are treated to a relaxing massage where time seems to pass more slowly to allow us to be carried away by the lull of tranquility.
