The Vila Baleira Hotels & Resorts Group inaugurated yesterday its most recent luxury tourism project – the Vila Baleira Suites – which was attended by the highest authorities of the Regional Government of Madeira.
The Vila Baleira Suites is the most recent investment by the Vila Baleira hotels, which in this way marks the first step in the total restructuring of the group, with the refurbishment of all units being contemplated by 2027. This is a commitment by Ferpinta – a world reference company and owner of the group – towards modernization and the future, consolidating the brand in the market.
According to Gonçalo Teixeira, Director of the Ferpinta Group – owner of Vila Baleira Hotels & Resorts, “This inauguration is a huge source of pride for us and an important milestone for the growth of the group. Vila Baleira Suites has a set of unique characteristics that respond to tourist needs in Porto Santo, raising the quality of the offer on the island, with a differentiated service. The project involved an investment of 2 million euros and is the first step in a renewal and growth plan that foresees an investment of over 13 million euros”.
The event was attended by several official entities, namely the President of the Regional Government of Madeira, Dr. Miguel Filipe Machado de Albuquerque, the Regional Secretary for Tourism and Culture, Dr. António Eduardo de Freitas Jesus, the Regional Secretary for the Economy, Dr. Rui Miguel da Silva Barreto, the Mayor of Porto Santo, Dr. Nuno Filipe Melim Batista and the President of the Municipal Assembly of Porto Santo, Dr. Fatima Ferreira Albino Silva.
The President of the Regional Government of Madeira, Dr. Miguel Albuquerque, visited the Vila Baleira Suites hotel (formerly Lua Mar) in Porto Santo, which has undergone a profound requalification. Together with the journalists, the Madeiran leader said that he really liked what he saw: “It is very good and very well refurbished”! The minister also stressed that the investment that businessmen in the sector are making in the “Golden Island” is very important, which has allowed for a substantial improvement in the tourist offer in Porto Santo, «this means having better tourism, having a better price and paying better wages», he emphasized.
