The years go happily by but the memories are eternal. Between 1995 and 2001 I was a regular customer at Cervejaria Trindade, it was the place for university lunches and dinners and where we would meet at the most special moments to celebrate those little luxuries.
The years passed, Cervejaria Trindade changed and I’m back. Trindade reopened its doors to the city, the country and the world, full of news: a total rebranding that includes a new brand, a renovated space, a new positioning and a menu signed by one of the most important Portuguese chefs, Alexandre Silva.
Considered the most beautiful and oldest brewery in Portugal, Trindade is located in the space occupied for eight centuries by the Convent of Santíssima Trindade, founded at the end of the 13th century, more precisely in 1294. Now, almost 200 years old, it is called Trindade, the Original Brewery of Lisbon, EST. 1836. It gained copper tones reminiscent of the beer it has always produced and blue tones like the tiles that make it historic, iconic and unique. A change of identity that aims to give the brand a more up-to-date character, reinforcing the grandeur of its heritage and cultural relevance. The new image is inspired by the arches so present in its interior and the new positioning more centered on its originality and on Lisbon.
Trindade’s menu was also revisited and renovated with the signature of Chef Alexandre Silva, but some of the classics that we enjoyed more than 20 years ago remain, such as the Trindade Beef that we made a point of revisiting! In addition to seafood, shoulder of lamb, cataplanas, charcoal-roasted octopus and an extensive menu of snacks always accompanied by Trindade craft beers!
An important note, the house croquette is still the best in Lisbon, as well as the beer pudding, the perfect starter and dessert! Trindade is more beautiful than ever, cosmopolitan, but always ours: It will be a pleasure to come back time and time again, alone, as a couple, with an extended family or a group of friends, it’s always perfect! Thank you Trindade for making me travel back in time through taste, space, smell and memory! It is the most beautiful and oldest brewery in Portugal!
